Built Around the Project

The Trades Finish. The Cleaning Still Matters.

A final clean is not the same as routine janitorial service. Construction dust, unfinished punch work, and compressed schedules require a clearly defined plan.

01
Rough Construction Cleaning Preliminary cleaning as agreed project areas become accessible.
02
Final Construction Cleaning Detailed cleaning of the approved finished interior spaces.
03
Punch-List / Touch-Up Cleaning A defined return scope after the remaining trade activity.
04
Plan-Based Bid Requests Send project information and a plan link for scope evaluation.
Construction Cleaning That Understands Scope

Your Project Doesn't Need Another Vague Subcontractor Quote.

A cleaning bid should identify what gets cleaned, when the area needs to be ready, who supplies what, and how return visits are handled.

We evaluate the project before committing to a price or schedule. That means reviewing the relevant drawings, square footage, finish conditions, access requirements, and cleaning phases.

Because "clean the building" is not a scope of work.

Construction Cleaning Phases

Rough. Final. Touch-Up. Different Phases. Different Work.

We evaluate each phase separately. A proposal may cover one phase, multiple phases, or a defined combination depending on project requirements.

🧹
Phase 01

Rough Construction Cleaning

Preliminary cleaning that helps move a project from active construction toward detailed finish work.

  • Loose dust and debris removal from agreed accessible areas
  • Sweeping or vacuuming approved floor surfaces
  • Preliminary dust removal from reachable surfaces
  • Cleaning of designated work areas as they become ready
  • Additional rough-clean tasks defined by the project scope
✨
Phase 02

Final Construction Cleaning

Detailed interior cleaning after the major trades have substantially finished their work.

  • Detailed accessible dust removal
  • Doors, frames, trim, baseboards, and ledges
  • Interior glass and accessible fixtures where included
  • Cabinets, counters, and finished surfaces
  • Kitchenettes, restrooms, and approved interior areas
  • Vacuuming and appropriate cleaning of finished floors
📋
Phase 03

Punch-List & Touch-Up Cleaning

Targeted return cleaning for agreed areas affected by final trade activity.

  • Targeted dust removal
  • Fingerprints and light surface marks
  • Spot cleaning on approved finished surfaces
  • Touch-ups following final installations
  • Cleaning identified through an agreed punch list

Not every project needs all three phases. We review the plans, conditions, and requested deliverables before pricing.

Other suitable commercial, residential new-construction, or public-sector projects evaluated individually.

Scope Definition

What's Included Matters. What's Excluded Matters Just as Much.

We define responsibilities before mobilization so the superintendent, estimator, and cleaning crew are working from the same expectations.

Typical Final-Clean Scope

Subject to the approved proposal and site conditions.

  • Accessible construction dust on finished interior surfaces
  • Interior doors, frames, baseboards, and ledges
  • Accessible interior glass and approved partitions
  • Counters, cabinets, sinks, and fixtures
  • Restrooms and break areas
  • Vacuuming and appropriate hard-floor cleaning
  • Final inspection of cleaned scope areas

Items Requiring Specific Approval

Evaluated and priced separately where appropriate.

  • Exterior glass cleaning
  • Elevated cleaning requiring special access equipment
  • Heavy adhesive, paint, grout, or caulk residue
  • Sensitive finish restoration or specialty surface treatment
  • Detailed cleaning inside equipment or specialty fixtures
  • Additional punch returns after later trade activity
  • Consumables, rentals, or special project equipment

Work Not Automatically Included

These services are not part of a standard construction cleaning proposal.

  • Hazardous-material remediation
  • Asbestos, lead, or mold abatement
  • Regulated medical waste or biohazard cleanup
  • Major construction debris hauling
  • Paint correction or damaged-finish repair
  • Specialty floor restoration
  • Work outside approved, safe, accessible areas

One important distinction: Construction dust removal does not automatically include specialized hazardous-dust remediation. Material conditions, access, equipment, and cleaning methods must be evaluated before acceptance.

Plans and specifications control the final proposal. Nothing on this page overrides an approved written scope.

Site Readiness

Good Cleaning Starts Before the Crew Walks In.

The condition of the site has a direct effect on labor, scheduling, safety, and the quality of the final result. These are the questions we clarify before mobilization.

01

Are the Assigned Areas Ready?

Rough cleaning may occur while construction continues elsewhere. Final cleaning generally requires the assigned rooms to be substantially finished and released for cleaning.

02

Who Handles Construction Debris?

The GC and NACC establish whether loose debris removal is included and who is responsible for dumpsters, bulk waste, off-site disposal, and trade-generated debris.

03

Are Water, Power, and Access Available?

We confirm utilities, entry procedures, parking, staging, restroom access, and any site-specific safety requirements.

04

Are Finished Surfaces Protected?

New glass, paint, cabinetry, flooring, and fixtures require appropriate methods. Questionable residues or delicate finishes may need approval before treatment.

05

Will Trades Re-enter After the Final Clean?

If installers, painters, or other trades return after final cleaning, the project may need a defined touch-up allowance or separately priced revisit.

06

What Does Acceptance Look Like?

We clarify the requested finish standard, inspection approach, punch-list process, and whether a documented return visit is included in the price.

Why NACC

We Price the Scope. Not the Fantasy.

A low number on bid day is not much help if the work cannot actually be completed for that price. We prefer realistic labor planning, clear expectations, and professional communication.

📐

Scope-Driven Estimates

We evaluate the actual project requirements rather than treating every building as identical.

🪖

Veteran-Owned Accountability

NACC is veteran-owned and women-owned, with an emphasis on defined standards and direct communication.

🛡️

Insured Cleaning Crews

NACC uses vetted, background-checked personnel. Project-specific insurance and site requirements are reviewed before commitment.

🗓️

Schedule Coordination

We evaluate construction schedules, handoff dates, site access, and practical crew availability.

🔍

Defined Quality Checks

Our approach emphasizes documented expectations, review of cleaned areas, and communication about outstanding work.

🤝

No Mystery Subcontracting

We discuss delivery requirements before accepting a project, including staffing, scope, safety, timing, and subcontracting arrangements.

North Carolina Project Coverage

Based in Garner. Built for Triangle Projects.

Our priority service area includes Raleigh, Garner, Cary, Apex, Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina, Clayton, Durham, Wake Forest, Chapel Hill, Morrisville, and surrounding Triangle communities.

We also evaluate larger post-construction opportunities elsewhere in North Carolina, including projects requiring subcontractor coordination.

Out-of-area availability depends on the project size, scope, staffing plan, schedule, travel requirements, and financial feasibility.

After the Construction Dust Settles

Need Ongoing Janitorial Service Too?

Post-construction cleaning prepares a space for turnover. Recurring commercial cleaning helps maintain it afterward.

If your office, retail facility, or multifamily property also needs ongoing maintenance, NACC can evaluate a separate recurring cleaning scope.

Construction Cleaning FAQs

The Questions Worth Asking Before You Award the Scope.

Real answers for GCs, estimators, builders, and property managers.

How much does post-construction cleaning cost in Raleigh, NC?

Post-construction cleaning is quoted by project. Pricing depends on square footage, cleaning phases, finish materials, dust and debris conditions, access, equipment, staffing, and deadlines. NACC provides custom bids rather than a universal per-square-foot construction cleaning rate.

What is the difference between rough cleaning and final cleaning?

Rough cleaning is preliminary work performed as designated areas become ready. Final cleaning is a more detailed cleaning of approved finished spaces, typically after major dusty trades have substantially finished. Each phase has its own scope and labor requirements.

Do you offer punch-list and touch-up cleaning?

Yes. Touch-up cleaning can be included as a defined project phase or priced separately. The proposal should specify the number of return visits, targeted areas, timing, and labor-hour allowance. Unlimited callbacks are not automatically included.

Can NACC bid from construction drawings?

Yes. We can review available drawings, specifications, cleaning notes, finish schedules, and project details to evaluate a bid. A site walkthrough or additional clarification may still be required.

Can you clean retail tenant improvements and office buildouts?

Yes. NACC evaluates retail tenant improvements, commercial office buildouts, renovations, and other suitable construction projects. Acceptance depends on the actual cleaning scope, project conditions, and crew availability.

Do you handle multifamily construction and apartment units?

Yes. We evaluate apartment unit cleaning, multifamily common areas, leasing spaces, and other project-specific construction cleaning needs. Unit counts, floorplans, access, scope, and turnover schedule help determine capacity.

Do you supply cleaning equipment and materials?

NACC generally provides standard cleaning equipment and materials appropriate to the agreed scope. Specialty equipment, lifts, rentals, site consumables, and unusual materials must be addressed in the proposal.

Does your bid include exterior window cleaning?

Not automatically. Accessible interior glass may be included when specified, but exterior glazing, elevated work, and specialty glass treatment require separate scope review.

Do you remove paint, caulk, adhesive, and grout residue?

Light residue removal may be evaluated where safe and appropriate. Heavy or bonded residue, specialty treatments, and work that risks damaging new finishes require explicit approval and separate scope consideration.

What happens if other trades work after your final clean?

Later trade activity can recontaminate cleaned areas. We recommend scheduling the final clean after major work is complete and defining any touch-up return separately. Additional work caused by later trade activity is not automatically included.

Can you accommodate accelerated schedules or after-hours work?

We evaluate accelerated, evening, and other special access windows individually. Availability depends on the approved scope, site requirements, staffing, and lead time. A request does not guarantee schedule acceptance.

Are your cleaners insured and background-checked?

NACC is insured and uses vetted, background-checked cleaning personnel. Contractor-specific insurance, onboarding, safety, and documentation requirements must be reviewed before accepting the project.

Do you bid projects outside Raleigh and the Triangle?

Yes. We evaluate selected post-construction projects throughout North Carolina. Scope, project size, travel, labor coverage, schedule, and financial requirements determine whether an out-of-area opportunity is feasible.

What information should I send to request a bid?

Send the project name, location, approximate square footage, cleaning phases, bid deadline, anticipated cleaning dates, and relevant plans or specifications. Include site-readiness information and special cleaning requirements where available.

Does submitting a bid request guarantee NACC will quote the project?

No. Every opportunity is reviewed for scope, staffing, site access, timing, risk, and operational fit. We will determine whether NACC can provide a proposal after reviewing the information.
